The European Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 is directly applicable across the whole territory of the EU. The basic principles are following
- No Pre-market registration/certification
- Control of compliance by authorities
- Product notification required to CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal) prior to placing the products in the market
- Safety and legal compliance is the responsibility of “Responsible Person”
